I started my pilgrimage to Spain three years ago from Hradec Králové by bicycle. Every year I ride or walk a larger or smaller part of the road. It depends on the terrain in front of me. I have an official pilgrim's card - a credential where I collect stamps. With a few exceptions, I bivouac under a tent, or I arrange an overnight stay in a hostel for pilgrims in advance. The route from the Czech Republic is well marked and I had it divided into the following parts:From Hradec Králové to Prague - 180 km (by bike, by boat on the Sázav and on foot)From Prague to Klatov (on foot) - 150 kmFrom Klatov to St. Gallen in Switzerland - 600km (by bike)From St. Gallen to Luzern - 150km (on foot)
This year I plan to cycle the longest part - 1,600 km. My destination will be in Bilbao, Spain.
